Diggers Rest Market (Diggers Market) is an online community created to provide a virtual market place for the township of Diggers Rest. Diggers Rest is located about 30km north of the Melbourne Central Business District and acts as a gateway to the Melton, Sunbury and the Macedon Ranges region. The area is rich in history, culture and locally produced products. Over the years, many attempts have been made to develop an indoor/outdoor market in Diggers Rest with little success. Despite the rapid growth of the township, limited site options currently exist to sustain a physical market.
As such, we've decided to pilot the idea of a virtual market as a prelude to greater expectations. You can create your own virtual store using the Diggers Rest Market Facebook Group.
